RESTORATION HARDWARE

Edina, MN

DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT:

New ground-up construction. Metal stud exterior with numerous areas of balloon framing around decks/patios with USG Securock sheathing. Exterior finish-Parex Portland cement reinforced stucco system. Complete build out of interior walls and ceilings with metal studs and gypsum.

MAJOR CHALLENGE:

I don’t know that we would call them major challenges for this project.

Building large grand staircase with multiple curves/radius’. Unique barrel radius ceilings in corridors. Entire project was a level 5 taping finish.

The major challenge for the stucco was the finish coat. Parex’s Lahabra Santa Barbara Mission finish was specified and Olympic had never applied this finish coat before, as it is predominately used in California. Parex representatives flew in and trained our Foreman on how to apply the finish coat. It turned out excellent.
