TARGET FIELD

Minneapolis, MN

DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT:

Target Field, home of our Minnesota Twins is a spectacular open-air Baseball Stadium but has also hosted soccer, football, hockey and many concerts. The stadium opened on April 12th, 2010 with a capacity of nearly 40,000. Olympic was proud to play such a significant role in this iconic ballpark.

MAJOR CHALLENGE:

One of our most significant challenges, this project is actually larger than the site. The building is hemmed in tightly on three sides by very busy downtown streets and actually goes up and over several active railroad tracks on the other side. This created many challenges for access and material deliveries. A very fast-paced and critical schedule also created challenges with manpower for all trades, Olympic played a major part in turning this project over to the owner on schedule. Olympic had an incredible workforce on this project and was honored to receive an award for workforce diversity.
