The Creekside Building was an exciting project for Olympic that incorporated new products and scopes of work. We had a great field crew that worked on setting CFMF Joists, installing metal decking to said joists, framing the entire exterior, and enclosing the whole building with insulated plywood sheathing panels that had an integrated weather barrier. This project had a fast-paced schedule in order to open the daycare at the beginning of 2022. Olympic and Knutson collaborated very well together to meet this demanding schedule and get the building turned over.
With supply chain issues at the height of Covid causing structural steel joists to have extremely long lead times, the project was designed with CFMF joists to meet the anticipated turnover date. Our field crew was able to develop a plan to unload and install these joists efficiently. Lead times also affected the CFMF for the entire exterior. All of the CFMF had to be ordered 8 weeks ahead of time.
